A tarpaulin that reads “Private Property, No Trespassing” was placed below a flyover in Pavia, Iloilo.
The signboard was placed close to a post of the controversial Aganan Flyover.
A lot owner claimed that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 6 did not reportedly settle payment for a post erected on alleged private property.
According to former Pavia Sangguniang Bayan (Municipal Council) Member Pyt Trimañez, the tarpaulin expresses the sentiment of the lot owner who has to deal with alleged nonpayment for the piece of land.
Trimañez added that the jet grouting works done on a portion of the Aganan Flyover was stopped. He pointed out, based on personal knowledge when he was still councilor of Pavia, that budget for the flyover is limited.
In addition, Trimañez said the agency failed to disclose the real status of the controversial flyover project.
The former councilor also said that the agency allocated at least P690 million for the jet grouting of the Aganan Flyover. However, Trimañez doubts the project could be completed within two years.
GMA Super Radyo Iloilo said it would welcome gladly any statement from the DPWH 6, that implements the project, on the allegation of the lot owner.
