What initially was thought to be fireworks ignited for fun turned out to be real fire that broke out in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

The incident was caught on video evening on December 3, 2025 in Barangay Canmoros.

Ang lakas ng putok, tumagal ng mga more than five minutes,” Jhay-r Blauro, the person who took the video, said.

Based on investigation of Binalbagan Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire broke out in a house “bodega” (stockroom) where firecrackers were kept.

Diyan niya iniimbak ang mga last year niya pa na firecrackers. Iniimbestigahan pa namin kung ano ang cause,” said FO1 Exxon Ylosorio, Binalbagan BFP investigator.

The fire left behind damages worth over P200,000.

Binalbagan BFP has reminded the public days to the New Year that stocking firecrackers in the house is prohibited.
