A 21-year-old woman was found dead with at least 15 stab wounds inside her home in Barangay Apopong, General Santos City morning on Monday, December 8, 2025.
The victim was discovered lying lifeless on her bed by her mother's partner, who had just opened their lotto outlet attached to their house.
“Unang naka-discover niini ang nagbantay sa lotto outlet, iyang na-abri then pagtan-aw niya sa kwarto sarado didto niya nakita nga nagkadugo na,” Barangay Apopong Councilman Jun Lacea said.
It was learned that the victim was left alone in the house. Her family was reportedly expecting her to follow them to a birthday celebration, but she never made it.
“Murag namirthday ata sila, gibiyaan siya pero expected sila nga nga muapas siya gabii. Natingala gane sila nganong wala kaapas,” Lacea added.
The victim was believed to have been robbed first before she was stabbed to death.
“Ang area po parang may nagulo, nagulo po ang kwatro and at the same time maraming saksak na tinamo ang ating biktima…Initial ang sinasabi sa atin ng investigator is 15 stabbed wounds sa may batok sa biktima,” Major Jethro Doligas of Police Station 2 said.
“Sa pikas kwarto may nawala daw na 5,000 nga kwarta,” Lacea added.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to identify the perpetrator.
Investigators are also looking into a tricycle driver who earlier delivered food for the victim’s pets.
However, the tricycle denied involvement.
“Igo ra naku gihatag sa iyaha ang gisugo sa iyang mama unya nilakaw na pud ko pa highway. Karon lang ko kabalo kay nag ayo ko diri og motor,” the tricycle driver said.
