Police in Central Luzon have relieved five officers from their posts after they were tagged as possible suspects in a daring robbery inside a home in Porac, Pampanga, where gunmen allegedly took ₱14 million in cash in late November.

The break-in happened around 8 p.m. on November 25, 2025, at a residence in Barangay Sta. Cruz. Police said several armed men entered the home, pointed guns at the occupants, and forced them into the bathroom.

It was only after the suspects fled that the victims discovered the missing cash. A concerned citizen reported the incident to authorities at midnight on November 26.

Later, CCTV footage identified five police officers, four from the Angeles City Police Office and one from the Zambales Provincial Police Office, as possible suspects in the crime.

Police Regional Office 3 Director, PBGen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., said the officers were removed immediately from their posts as part of ongoing investigations.

“Nag-imbestiga tayo, tuloy-tuloy investigation natin, and based sa investigation natin, may mga evidences na nagli-link sa pulis,” Peñones said.

A Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) has been formed to conduct a deeper probe. Peñones revealed that an anonymous letter helped identify the officers now under scrutiny.

“We received an anonymous letter… galing umano sa men and women of Station 2 ng Angeles City Police Station. Sila ‘yung naglagay ng mga involved sa insidente. To give way sa ginawa nating investigation, doon sa possible involvement ng 5 kaya natin sila pina-relieve sa post,” he said.

PRO-3 officials said they continue to gather evidence and will file charges once the investigation is completed. The names of the five relieved officers have not been released, and they have yet to issue any statements.
