In an interview with GMA Super Radyo Iloilo, PCG-Iloilo Station Commander Richard Gura said that the fishermen were headed for the Iloilo Fish Port Complex.
The fishermen communicated with their company in Palawan that, in turn, requested assistance from the PCG.
No fisherman was hurt in the incident.
They went home to Palawan on December 8.
It was learned that the boat carried about three tons of fish.
Following the incident, PCG reiterated its warning to fishermen to always check weather bulletins as precaution before venturing out at sea.
