The stage for the Sinulog 2026 dance showdown at the Cebu City Sports Center has been mounted. 

GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak chanced upon laborers mounting the platform, for the Sinulog 2026 performances, with the help of a mobile crane. 

According to City Councilor Dave Tumulak, chief of the Sinulog 2026 Executive Committee (EXECOM), the early mounting of the stage will help contingents in their rehearsals. 

At least 37 contingents and one guest contingent will participate in the Sinulog 2026 grand parade and dance showdown. 

Tumulak also assured of floats that are 70-percent related to the celebration of faith in the Señor Santo Niño, and only 30-percent will depict the commercial aspect.

The grand parade will also take a shorter route in 2026 at 4.3 kilometers only.

It is expected that the grand parade will culminate by 7 p.m. 

Street parties will also be prohibited strictly along the route of the Sinulog grand parade.

Areas for street parties will be designated, such as at the South Road Properties (SRP). 

For spectators along the route, ample supply of chairs or bleachers will be available, Tumulak assured further. 

As of this writing, the City Government of Cebu is 60-percent prepared for the Sinulog Festival 2026.
