A man was caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera robbing a coffee shop in General Santos City dawn on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Footage shows a man wearing a hood entering the establishment around 4 a.m. and approaching the cashier area. The suspect used a lighter to illuminate the location of the cash box.

According to the owner, the suspect carted away nearly P7,000 in cash from the box and another P5,000 in cash prepared for change. The suspect also took a tablet worth P4,000.

The suspect reportedly gained entrance by destroying the padlock of the temporary gate in front of the shop.

The owner said they were having their Christmas party the night before the incident.

“Galing kami ng Christmas party ng other team doon sa kabila na negosyo. Tapos, kinaumagahan, tinawagan ako ng staff na para i-check sana yung susi yun na napansin na niya na wala ng tablet, wala na yung cash box, magulo na yung doon sa drawer kasi nga naghahanap pa ng magnanakaw,” the owner said.

Authorities are investigating the incident to identify and arrest the suspect.

“Doble ingat talaga, double lock kung a-attend kayo ng party, iniwanan yung establishment niyo bahay niyo,” the owner added.
