A 30-year-old woman died after a truck hit her while she was crossing the road in Barangay Tuliao, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.
Police said the victim came from Barangay Bued in Calasiao for a morning jog and was heading toward Sta. Barbara. She crossed the road reportedly and may not have noticed the truck approaching.
“Mag-jog, mag-walk… noong nag-cross sa street, doon nasagi ng truck. Parehas din siguro, hindi na niya napansin iyong tumatawid. May kuwan din siguro ‘yon, contributory factor na rin siguro,” PCAD/HRAO Admin Officer PLT. Ferdinand Abulencia said.
The woman suffered injuries in different parts of her body and was declared dead at the hospital.
Police said the victim’s family and the truck driver have reached a settlement.
