The son in law of Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro filed a case for cyberlibel against Byron Garcia, brother of Gwendolyn Garcia, former governor.
Along with his legal counsel, Dr. Janos Vizcayno went to the Mandaue City Hall of Justice and Prosecutors Office for the filing of the case on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Vizcayno complained against Garcia for alleged malicious accusations done through video logs (vlog).
Vizcayno, an orthopedic surgeon, denies charging his patients with bloated fees.
Vizcayno’s legal counsel, Atty. Inocencio dela Cerna, said that an additional case will be filed against Garcia. The details are yet to be disclosed.
GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak is yet to get the side of Byron Garcia, former consultant at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
“Mao ning nisu’d ko pagka-doktor kay motabang ta og tawo mag-opera, unya kaning ingon ani ba, himo-himoan ta og istorya lain sad kaayos tanan mangwarta daw ta sa atong isig ka tawo, wa gyud ni basis,” Vizcayno pointed out.
Dela Cerna said that Garcia lashed at a private practitioner this time, as he could not get a reaction from Baricuatro.
“Sa tan-aw niya di man niya maigo, wa may reaksyon si Governor [Pam] coz baseless iya complaint, and number 2, government official man na, sa balaod di sila ma-onion skinned, pero karon giapil ang private individual nga way labot sa isyu unya iyang son in law lisod man nang naa. Wa na ni bias, mokiha na gyud ni siya,” dela Cerna said.
