The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) has announced that no police personnel will be allowed to take a Christmas break as the region remains under heightened alert.

PRO-10 director, Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano, said all city and municipal police stations, including support units, are required to ensure complete personnel accounting throughout the holiday season.

PRO-10 spokesperson, Major Joann Navarro, added that all leave applications of police personnel have been canceled.

Navarro said PRO-10 will strengthen its visibility and presence in areas of convergence such as churches, malls, and terminals.

She clarified that this directive is not new as the entire country is regulary placed under high alert status during the holiday season.

“This holiday season taas ang economic activities and mas daghan ang mga kaigsuonan nato nga mo gawas so definitely ug vigilance, personnel deployment sa atong personnel on the ground,” Navarro said.
