A 63-year-old woman was injured after she was attacked by a crocodile inside the bathroom of her stilt house in Barangay Karaha, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi evening on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the woman had only gone to use the bathroom when the crocodile attacked her suddenly and escaped quickly afterward.
The woman sustained wounds in the left hand and was rushed to a hospital by her family with assistance from responders of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-12.
Authorities said it was high tide when the incident happened.
A search operation is underway to locate the crocodile.
