The family of slain Barangay Tres de Mayo chairman Oscar Bucol, Jr. of Digos City, Davao del Sur expressed dismay over what they described as slow-paced investigation.
Bucol’s father, Oscar Bucol, Sr., said the investigation would not probably take long if it was an ordinary person who was behind the attack, hinting that the mastermind may be an influential personality.
Mangayo lang kog pasensya, dismayado gyud ko,” the elder Bucol said.
The family continues to await justice 16 days after the barangay chairman was shot dead while he was live on Facebook evening on November 25, 2025.
They are also waiting for the results of the investigation conducted by the police.
Kung dili kaya, ilisdan,” the elder Bucol added.
The slain barangay chairman would have turned 35 on Friday, December 12, 2025, and the family has scheduled an announcement regarding the interment details.
GMA Regional TV One Mindanao reached out to the special investigation task group (SITG) in Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office but to no avail.
Meanwhile, supporters have gathered to pay tribute.
“Naa gyud syay heart nga mutabang. Walay pili. Mulutaw raman gyud gihapon na, ang Ginoo nalang jud,” a supporter, Elen Baros, said.
