A 45-year-old man delivering livestock feed died after the dump truck he was driving fell into a ravine in Maasim, Sarangani, on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Maasim Police Station chief, Major Edgar Vanzuela, said the truck was traveling downhill at a mountainous area in Barangay Tinoto when its brakes reportedly malfunctioned, causing it to fall into the ravine.
The driver, a resident of Koronadal City, did not reach the hospital alive.
Authorities reminded motorists to ensure that their vehicles are in good working condition before traveling to help prevent accidents.
