A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death multiple times by three juveniles in Dueñas, Iloilo.
Alias “Toto,” a resident of Barangay Tahing, Calinog, Iloilo was stabbed 13 times.
The incident happened in Barangay Capuling, Dueñas evening on December 12, 2025.
He sustained wounds on the feet, stomach, and other parts of the body.
The boy was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
In an investigation conducted by Dueñas Police, the victim was with four friends who are also persons of minor ages. They reportedly went to watch a fireworks display in town. When the activity was over, the victim and his friends decided to visit a house of a common friend in Barangay Capuling. They rode separately on two motorcycles.
Upon reaching a crossing at the said barangay, the victim stopped to urinate. But stones were hurled reportedly at them by the suspects. Alias “Toto” tried to evade the attack but was chased.
The suspects – alias “Tam-tam” and alias “Christian” - caught up with him and stabbed him repeatedly. The policemen were not able to recover the weapon used in the crime.
“Habang sinasaksak siya, atras lang siya nang atras at doon na siya natagpuan nang patay. Base sa pahayag ng suspek, dala rin raw ito ng kalasingan (ng mga suspek),” Corporal Regienald Lawague, investigator of Dueñas Police, said.
Alias Tam-tam, 17 years old, was “rescued” in his residence in Barangay San Isidro, Dueñas. Alias “Christian” is on the loose, as of this writing.
Meanwhile, another suspect, alias “Bulldog,” who drove the motorcycle turned himself in.
The stabbing was reportedly an act of retaliation, which is a motive that the cops focused on.
“Nitong September 30, fiesta dito sa Dueñas, may nangyaring gulo, naghabulan ang dalawang grupo. Nagkataon na may tyansa silang maghiganti kaya iyon na, sinaksak nila ang biktima. Inunahan na nila,” Lawague added.
According to the police, it is waiting for the so-called discernment from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for the filing of murder charges.
The 77-year-old grandmother of the boy is determined to file a case against the suspects.
“Hindi ko matanggap ang nangyari. Parang ginawa nilang baboy. Hindi ako makakain dahil iniisip ko ang nangyari,” said Thel, the grandmother.
“Sana makulong na sila. Pagdating ko sa Passi, may takip ka na ng puting tela,” Thel, in grief, said.
