The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliament has approved on third and final reading BARMM’s P114 billion budget for 2026.

Parliament members approved the budget unanimously on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) said the budget will be sourced from the annual block grant, national government subsidies, share in national taxes, fees and charges collected in BARMM, collections on regional taxes, and unutilized budget from previous years.

“The budget was not decreased. Some amounts were transferred to special purpose and contingency funds so ministries can still access them when the need arises and the requirements are complete,” Finance, Budget and Management Committee Chair Kitem Kadatuan Jr. was quoted as saying.

BTA added that education, health,  infrastructure, and social services have the largest budget allocation.
