Minimum wage earners in Zamboanga Peninsula are set to receive a daily wage increase of P50.
This after the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga (RTWPB-9) approved the adjustment in daily minimum wage rates for workers in the private sector to help them cope with the rising cost of living.
Based on the wage order approved on November 24, 2025, the increase will be implemented in two tranches.
Starting January 1, 2026, the minimum wage rates for workers in the non-agricultural sector will now be P439 from P414 while those in the agricultural sector will increase to P426 from P401. This will increase to P464 and P451, respectively, for the second tranche on June 1, 2026.
