Workers in the Caraga Region are set to receive a P40 increase in their daily minimum wage in 2026.
Based on the wage order, the increase will be implemented in two tranches – P20 on January 3, 2026, and another P20 on May 1, 2026.
Effective January 3, the minimum wage rates for workers in the non-agriculture, agriculture, service/retail, and manufacturing sectors will be P455. It will then increase to P475 on May 1.
The increase covers the cities of Bayugan, Bislig, Butuan, Cabadbaran, Surigao, Tandag and the Provinces Dinagat Island, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.
Meanwhile, domestic workers or kasambahays will also receive a P500 increase in their monthly minimum wage, raising their salary to P6,500 from P6,000.
The wage order was issued on December 9, 2025 and published in a newspaper on Thursday, December 18.
