The Department of Agriculture-Davao (DA-11) has denied reports that farm-to-market road (FMR) projects in the region are being sold to contractors.

In a statement, DA-11 said it received information that unscrupulous individuals have been claiming that FRM projects are for sale. The agency described the report as false and misleading.

DA-11 said it has not authorized any individual or group to solicit money in exchange for favoring contractors in the awarding of projects.

The agency also emphasized that all FMR projects, including those that are implemented under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) and the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP), undergo established bidding procedures strictly. These processes include validation, evaluation, and approval.

DA-11 urged the public to remain vigilant and refrain from believing or sharing unverified information.

It added that it will not tolerate any attempt to mislead the public or undermine the integrity of its programs.
