A tricycle driver was hurt after his vehicle hit a pickup truck along a national highway in Barangay Balaleng, Bantay, Ilocos Sur on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
CCTV footage showed the pickup truck stopped in the inner lane while a barangay tanod managed traffic. After the tanod signaled that the pickup could turn, the tricycle came straight from the opposite direction and crashed into the vehicle.
The tricycle driver sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The pickup driver was not hurt.
The crash damaged parts of both vehicles. Authorities said both drivers have yet to give their statements as investigation continues.
