The number of crime incidents in Davao City has gone down in 2025, based on data from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the city recorded around 518 cases of eight focus crimes from January to December 15, 2025, which is 23.15 percent lower than the 674 cases logged in the same period in 2024.
The eight focus crimes include murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping involving both four-wheeled vehicles and motorcycles.
DCPO noted a significant decline in theft, rape, and robbery cases.
However, authorities recorded a slight increase in incidents involving physical injury, murder, motorcycle theft, and homicide.
DCPO urged Davaoeños to uphold a culture of security by promptly reporting any suspicious activities to Central 911 or the nearest police station.
