A woman went berserk, took the machete of a coconut vendor, and hacked a delivery rider in Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City, Cebu.
The woman is allegedly suffering from a mental condition, according to the authorities.
The incident happened in Burgos Street, Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
The suspect was identified as a certain “Madelyn,” 36 years old, whose common-law husband is a resident of Sitio Sawsawan, Barangay San Roque, Talisay City.
The victim was identified as a certain “Michael,” 46 years old, single, a resident of Libo Street, Barangay Mohon, Talisay City.
The woman took the machete used by a vendor to open coconuts and hacked a delivery rider who happened to pass in the area. He was hit on the right arm and was rushed to the hospital where he is recuperating, as of this writing.
