An 18-year-old student was arrested after police seized suspected shabu worth ₱680,000 in a buy-bust operation in Dagupan City.

The Dagupan City Police said the male suspect, tagged as a high-value individual, was arrested in Barangay Bonuan Binloc on December 20, 2025. Authorities confiscated about 100 grams of suspected shabu placed in four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets.

Police also seized several personal items from the suspect, including the motorcycle allegedly used during the transaction.

According to Dagupan City Police Office spokesperson PLtCol. Roderick Gonzales, the arrest followed reports from residents in the area.

“Ito po ay mga information na natanggap ng ating CIDG sa kababayan sa barangay, na kung saan napag-alaman na ang taong ibinigay sa ating tanggapan ay kabilang sa mga high-value individual,” Gonzales said.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Dagupan City Police and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The suspect has yet to issue a statement.
