Rising river waters have forced the closure of several bridges in Cagayan, disrupting travel and putting nearby communities on alert.

In Baggao, Cagayan, floodwaters from the Cagayan River made the Bagunot Bridge impassable to vehicles. Videos showed strong water flow over the bridge, with some people crossing on foot while others were using boats. A motorcycle was also seen being carried across by boat.

The uploader said water levels started to rise due to continuous rain since Friday, December 19, 2025. Authorities said crossing the bridge has become difficult and unsafe.

In Amulung, Cagayan, water from the river also affected the Tana-Annabuculan Overflow Bridge.

A video taken morning on December 23 showed a tractor pulling a cargo van after it got stuck in floodwaters. Officials advised motorists not to use the bridge until water levels go down.

Meanwhile, authorities closed the Pinacanauan Overflow Bridge in Tuguegarao City temporarily to all types of vehicles due to flooding from the same river. Motorists were urged to use alternative routes for safety.

Officials also continue to monitor the water level at Buntun Bridge. As of 10 a.m., the Tuguegarao City Command Center recorded the river level at 6.7 meters, which is close to the alert level. Residents living near the river were advised to stay cautious.
