Two days before Christmas Day, bus trips in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte were all fully booked as many people travel home for the holidays.
A bus conductor said all trips were fully booked until January 1, 2026.
He said the heavy demand for rides is caused by many travelers returning to their hometowns for the holidays.
Bus operators said they are ready to deploy extra buses if needed to serve more passengers.
They added that trips remained smooth, with no major problems reported on the roads.
Vacationers from Metro Manila have also started arriving in Laoag, adding to the holiday travel rush in the city.
