The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Iloilo Station logged over 160,000 inbound and outbound passengers in Iloilo City and the province from December 20, 2025 to 8 a.m. on December 26.

PCG Iloilo Station recorded a total of 71,882 inbound passengers and 89,533 outbound passengers. 

However, according to the PCG, the said volume of passengers is lower compared to the same period in 2024.

In an interview with GMA Super Radyo Iloilo with Ensign El John Ga, public information officer of PCG Iloilo Station,he said that beginning December 20, they activated the Passenger Assistance Center and deployed medical teams, Explosives and Ordnance Division (EOD) personnel, K9 working dogs, and sea marshals at ports to ensure safety of each passenger. 

PCG said that no contraband  was confiscated amid the round of inspections.

On December 26, the trips of sea vessels have resumed regular schedules.

The deployment of PCG personnel at ports and terminals is until January 5, 2026, to further ensure safety and order.
