Four people died after a passenger bus fell into a ravine along Andaya Highway in Del Gallego, Camarines Sur early morning on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Police said the bus crashed at around 2 a.m. in Barangay Magais 1. The bus came from Quezon City and was on its way to Sorsogon. It carried 25 passengers and two drivers.

The bus fell into a ravine about 26 to 30 meters deep. Trees below the ravine helped stop the bus from falling further, which prevented more damage.

Rescue teams continued retrieval operations as of this report. Two bodies remained trapped inside the bus, making the operation difficult.

The injured passengers were taken to Tagkawayan General Hospital in Tagkawayan, Quezon.

The chief of the Del Gallego Municipal Police Station said some passengers with minor injuries have already left the hospital, while others continue to receive treatment.
