A rider died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a truck on Phil-Japan Friendship Road in Buhangin District, Davao City dawn on Friday, December 26, 2025.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the victim was identified as a 29-year-old resident of General Santos City.
The truck driver claimed he was making a left turn to gas up when the motorcycle, which was allegedly traveling at high speed, crashed into truck.
The truck driver said he was driving slowly and had signaled before making the turn.
He also said that the motorcycle had no headlights and did not apply its brakes at that time.
The truck driver was taken into police custody after the incident.
The Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the incident.
