The Mabolo Police Station 4 of the Cebu City Police Office recovered a stolen motorcycle owned by a 33-year-old driver who figured in an accident in Governor M. Cuenco Avenue, Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

The man was reportedly from a party, proceeded to a bar, and was bound for home when he lost control of his vehicle due to alleged drunkenness on December 21, 2025.

Witnesses helped him reportedly to his feet, while his motorcycle was placed upright on the sidewalk. 

However, a CCTV footage showed that a man in blue short pants straddled on the motorcycle, revved it up, and drove away.

The victim reported the incident to the police who recovered the motorcycle in B. Rodriguez, Barangay Sambag 1. 

The suspect exchanged reportedly the motorcycle for shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P7,000.

Authorities recovered the vehicle from the person who agreed to trade the motorcycle with illegal drugs, while the suspect is on the loose, as of this writing.
