A mother and her two children perished in a fire incident that hit Babatngon town, Province of Leyte.
The incident took place in Channel Ridge View, Barangay District 1, at about 12:30 a.m. on December 27, 2025.
The fire killed the 34-year-old mother and her daughters, ages 13 years old and eight years old 8.
Based on police investigation, the victims were fast asleep when the fire struck.
The three were trapped in their residence.
The fire was put out by 2:49 a.m.
Damage caused by the fire is pegged at P1.3 million.
As of this writing, fire investigators are yet to establish the cause of the fire.
