A woman who claimed to be a vlogger (video logger) from Bacolod City spat at devotees of the Señor Santo Niño and hurt a policeman dawn on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.

A video of the woman showed that a policeman tried to pacify her, but she bashed the person in authority with her bag instead. 

The incident took place at Osmeña Boulevard which is a route of the annual "Penitential Walk with Jesus" to open the religious component of the Fiesta Señor 2026.

The woman owned up to having a drink too many, spitting at devotees, and slitting parked motorcycles with a sharp object which was not captured anymore in the video.

The woman was taken into the custody of the Abellana Police Station.

At the detention center, the woman admitted she was drunk, spat at devotees who joined the procession, and hurt a policeman when she was apprehended.

As soon as she was sober, she apologized for her transgression and expressed regret over her action in public. 

She claimed to be a vlogger from Bacolod City in Negros Occidental, but is said to be studying Law in a university in Cebu City.

The woman cried and expressed worry that should a case be filed against her, it would affect heavily her studies and stay in Cebu.

She asked for a second chance and vowed not to repeat the transgression.

However, the police are keen on filing a case against her for resistance and disobedience to a person in authority and damage to property.
