Flights at Bicol International Airport continued as normal on Thursday, January 8, 2026, even as Mayon Volcano remained under Alert Level 3, airport authorities said.

In an advisory issued at 4 p.m., the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said the airport remained fully operational despite the volcano’s activity.

CAAP noted that airport staff increased runway inspections after detecting minimal volcanic ash flakes within the aerodrome.

Authorities said airport personnel continued to follow all safety measures to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.

Passengers were advised to check airline advisories regularly for possible changes in flight schedules.
