The office of a distributor of medical supplies in Barangay Magdalo, La Paz, Iloilo City was ransacked.
A woman-employee lost her laptop. Petty cash estimated to be worth P22,000 and checks of yet undetermined value were also gone. The checks belong reportedly to the manager who is the wife of the establishment owner.
At about 8 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, alias "Alo,” the company driver, found that a window-type aircon at the back portion of the establishment was removed.
In a review of the CCTV video, a man was seen entering the establishment. He was half-naked with a cap on. He was seen pulling an object tucked in the side of his short pants.
In another angle, he was seen outside of the establishment with his shirt on yet.
"Walang damage ang rollup. Nasa likod ang damage. Maaaring sa likuran dumaan. Sa sirang grills ng aircon. First time nangyari ito. At sa ganitong building, parang first time,” alias “Alo” said.
The owner’s belongings were found scattered in his office, but nothing was lost.
A tire wrench and pliers were also found believed to have been used by the burglar.
“Sinadya talagang buksan. Pinwersa ang pagbukas kasi baka may gusto pang kunin,” Alo added.
The burglary took place at 2 a.m. on January 11.
“As to the identity, pina-follow-up pa natin ang mukha, pinapa-enhance pa natin. Nakita naman ninyo ang RACU at SOCO. Pinagtutulungan natin ito upang maresolba,” said Lt. Col. Lorenz Losaria, officer in charge of Iloilo City Police Station 2.
