A 36-year-old rider and his 61-year-old father died after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a mango tree in Bansalan, Davao del Sur.
Based on investigation, the victims were heading to Bansalan proper when the motorcycle allegedly lost its brakes upon reaching Barangay Anonang, causing it to crash into the tree.
Because of the impact, the victims were thrown off the motorcycle and died on the spot.
Police reminded motorists to always check the condition of their vehicles before traveling and to drive slowly to avoid accidents.
