The local government of the Island Garden City of Samal has announced that construction of the Samal Island-Davao City Connector Bridge is now 46.47 percent complete.
The local government said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) assured that the project remains on track and within its timeline and schedule.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held in October 2022, and the project is set to be finished by 2028.
The bridge has a length of 3.98 kilometers, a height of 78 meters, and a vertical clearance of 47 meters.
The project is funded with more than P23 billion through a China Official Development Assistance loan.
