A few trips from ports in Cebu were cancelled due to the possible effects of Tropical Depression Ada (international name: Nokaen). 

Though no areas in Central Visayas are placed under a specific Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS), but there are voyages from Cebu bound for Calbayog City, Province of Samar that is under Signal Number 1.

Meanwhile, trips from the Port of Ubay in Bohol for the Province of Leyte were also cancelled.

The Cebu Coast Guard reminds operators of small sea vessels and watercraft to avoid venturing out at sea.

“Although wala ta’y storm signal sa atoa, aduna tay kababayan nga managat especially ginagmay nga motorbanca, let us observe our weather and sea condition and maki-update sa nearest Coast Guard Office,” said Capt. Jerome Lozada, commander of Coast Guard Station Central Cebu.
