At least P100,000 in cash and laptops were lost to burglars in Lambunao, Iloilo.

The missing cash and devices are properties of the Zoning Office of the Local Government Unit of Lambunao.

Employees found out about the burglary when the office was opened morning on January 14, 2026.

The burglar gained entry at the back of the building by removing panes of a jalousie window.

According to the investigation of the Lambunao Police, the cash and devices are worth approximately P100,000.

“Yun yung tatlong laptop at alleged na P50,000 daw. Sa brand ng mga laptop, nasa mga hundred thousand,” Captain Dande Ilalto, chief of the Lambunao Municipal Police Station.

Police added that the Zoning Office also lost two external hard drives.

Aside from the Zoning Office, the thief also ransacked the Office of the Liga ng mga Barangay. However, no items were reported missing.

The police has two persons of interest in the incident.

“May mga previous rin ito na mga record na robbery and theft,” Ilalto added.

The possibility of more cohort is also part of the investigation because of circumstances that raised questions.

“Considering na first time na nangyari ang pagpatay ng ilaw malapit sa kanilang tanggapan. At parang unusual na tatlo ang gwardiya, nalusutan pa,” Ilalto pointed out.

The Zoning and Liga offices do not have CCTV cameras, but there is one outside of the building that provided clues to help pinpoint persons of interest.

The police has not approved yet the publication of the said CCTV video while investigation is ongoing, as of this writing.
