A deadly road accident on a national highway in Luna, Isabela left three people dead and eight others injured, after a truck crashed into an oncoming jeep.
CCTV footage showed the truck skidding before slamming into the jeep in Barangay Mambabanga. The strong impact tore off the jeep’s roof and threw several passengers out of the vehicle. The front part of the truck was also badly damaged.
Authorities said the truck driver lost control of the vehicle due to a slippery road caused by rain.
As part of the investigation, officials issued a show cause order to the jeep operator.
The truck driver has not yet released a statement, while police continue to probe the incident.
