The daughter of the late vice mayor of Dueñas, Iloilo took her oath of office Thursday morning, January 22, 2026.
Yzabelle Annika Lamasan, daughter of the late Vice Mayor Aimee Paz Lamasan, took her oath of office as the new member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Dueñas before Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr.
Yzabelle occupies a seat at the municipal council vacated by a member who has assumed the post vacated by her mother.
Yzabelle arrived at the Capitol along with members of her immediate family.
The late vice mayor passed away at the hospital while undergoing treatment after an incident of accidental discharge of a gun she owned.
The incident took place in Lamasan’s residence in La Paz, Iloilo City on December 30, 2025.
“Serbisyong tapat at bago kasi syempre bata pa ko, medyo naiiba ang mga outlooks ko sa governance,” Yzabelle said.
