The champion tribe of the Dinagyang Festival Tribes Competition 2026 will receive an additional ₱10 million in school infrastructure projects on top of the ₱1.5 million cash prize, according to Mayor Raisa Treñas on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
According to the Iloilo City Public Information Office (PIO), Treñas increased rewards that "reflect the city’s commitment to education, culture, and community development, while channeling support to public schools."
"The initiative also ensures that the spirit of Dinagyang leaves a lasting impact beyond the festivities," Iloilo City PIO said.
On January 25, the tribes’ competition was held at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand after the Concelebrated High Mass in honor of Señor Santo Niño at San Jose Parish.
