A 39-year-old man was arrested during a manhunt operation for allegedly raping his five-year-old daughter in Quezon, Bukidnon.

According to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), the suspect identified as alias “Edu” was listed as the number nine most wanted person in the province.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant for qualified rape and sexual assault issued by a court in Malaybalay City on January 16, 2026.

CIDG said the suspect allegedly raped his own daughter at their house in April 2025.

The victim’s aunt reported the incident to the police on October 17, 2025.

“The manhunt operation and arrest of the alleged rapist underscores the CIDG’s commitment in protecting and helping women and children from all types of abuse and violence, most especially rape of a minor, and incest rape. The capture of the father is the start of the turning of wheels of justice for the pitiful innocent child,” CIDG said.
