A woman was stabbed to death by her own husband while she was sleeping in Barangay 23-C, Davao City on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the suspect, based on investigation, allegedly found out that his wife was having an affair through Facebook Messenger.
In an emotional outburst, the suspect reportedly stabbed his wife while she was sleeping.
The victim reportedly tried to escape but she tripped and lost consciousness. She was brought to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The victim’s mother was also injured when she tried to intervene. She is now in stable condition.
Authorities recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack.
The suspect was arrested and is facing parricide and frustrated parricide charges.
