The Department of Public Works and Highways-Northern Mindanao (DPWH-10) has allowed all types of vehicles to pass through the detour road near a landslide site in Palacapao, Quezon, Bukidnon after asphalting works are now 75 percent complete.

The road was opened after a portion of the Bukidnon-Davao Road collapsed following a landslide in October 2025.

DPWH-10 reported that the asphalting of two lanes of the 460-meter detour road has already been completed. Work is ongoing on the remaining two lanes, where on the final asphalt layer still needs to be laid.

The agency added that all light to heavy vehicles and trucks are now permitted to pass through the detour road.

DPWH-10 said that the detour road is part of the project in the area.

Additional works will still be implemented, including the installation of slope protection systems, canal or drainage construction, and soil stabilization measures to prevent similar landslide incident in the area.
