A cellphone technician was arrested in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte for allegedly spreading explicit videos and photos of a 17-year-old girl online.

Operatives of the PNP Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit-Caraga (RACU-13) raided the house of the 22-year-old suspect and arrested him.

RACU-13 said the operation was launched after the victim’s parents sought help when they discovered the victim’s nude videos online.

It was learned that the victim reportedly sought the suspect’s help to repair her cellphone.

“Ato man ni gi-apply og digital warrant, kaning warrant to search, seize, examine computer data para makuha nato iyang mga electronic gadget para mao ato examine-non para katong testimonya sa bata nga gihatag atong ma-prove nga mao gyud to siya,” RACU-13 Chief, Col. Lemuel Gonda, said.

Authorities seized various electronic devices from the suspect, including cellphones where the nude videos and photos of the victim were saved.

The suspect is now under custody and may face charges for violation of Anti-Online Sexual Abuse of Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act (RA 11930)

“Daghan klase ang OSAEC naay local, naa pud ta’y foreign, naa pud homemade, naa pud na’y facilitator, kani siya lain pud ni nga style dili by blood ang perpetrator,” Gonda added.
