Vice Governor Glenn Anthony Soco has been designated as acting governor while Governor Pamela Baricuatro leads an official Cebu Provincial Government delegation to Fujian Province, China from February 3 to 7, 2026. 

"This is to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of basic services at the Capitol," according to the Cebu Provincial Information Office (PIO). 

"The official visit to Cebu’s sister province aims to strengthen Cebu–Fujian ties in tourism, people-to-people exchanges, and investments, deepen cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine to support improved healthcare services for Cebuanos, and benchmark a waste-to-energy [WTE] facility to help address Cebu’s garbage concerns," Capitol PIO added. 

Members of the Provincial Board (PB) who chair pertinent committees, including PB Members Dr. Stanley Caminero (committee on health), Malcolm Sanchez (committee on foreign and local relations), Lakambini (Neneth) Reluya (committee on higher education), and Michael Joseph (Mike) Villamor (committee on commerce and industry) are among the delegation.
