The death toll from the sunken M/V Trish Kerstin 3 has climbed to 45, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as of Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
This after search and rescue teams recovered two more bodies in the waters off Baluk-Baluk Island, Basilan morning on Wednesday.
The remains were brought to Zamboanga City for identification.
PCG added that the number of survivors remains at 316.
On Tuesday, divers located the vessel lying in an east-to-west orientation relative to Baluk-Baluk Island.
Search and rescue operations for the remaining missing passengers continue, as of this writing.
