At least 459 families have fled their homes after Tropical Storm #BasyangPH caused flooding in Butuan City, as of 2 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026.

According to the Butuan City Information Office, the families affected, composed of 1, 232 individuals, are taking shelter temporarily at 16 evacuation centers in the city.

Authorities said floodwaters entered several houses and submerged multiple roads, prompting residents to evacuate.

The local government said at least 13 barangays were affected.

Personnel of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) have extended assistance to the families affected while members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) continue to monitor the situation.

Classes in all levels, both in public and private, and work in government offices remain suspended on Friday, February 6, 2026.
