According to the local government, residents are accustomed to evacuating during tremors.
“Kami dito sa Kalamansig, we learned to be resilient. Hindi pwedeng huminto na lang ang buhay dahil may lindol. Pag may malakas na lindol, yung mga tao, kusang lumilikas. Then kami naman sa local government, we see to it na they are safe at may makain sila. Yan na yung araw-araw, yan ang aming hinaharap,” Kalamansig Mayor Ronan Eugence Garcia said.
Data showed at least 11,600 families were affected, as of February 1, 2026, prompting the provincial government to ask for financial assistance from the national government.

“Maraming livelihood ang na-put on hold that’s why I’m to trying to lobby sa DSWD for the immediate release of cash assistance to all of the 11,600 families in the amount of 5,000 pesos each,” Mangudadatu said.
