The Provinces of Bohol and Siquijor announced the suspension of work in all government offices effective Friday, February 6, 2026.
Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado issued Executive Order No. 04, series of 2026, on the suspension of government work due to the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 and the anticipated effects of Tropical Cyclone Basyang.
Governor Jake Vincent Villa suspended government work in the entire Province of Siquijor, beginning February 6, until further notice due to #BasyangPH.
Classes have been suspended since February 5, in both public and private schools, until further notice.
"Siquijor is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2. Our Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO Siquijor) is on full alert, and continues to monitor closely the situation to respond to any possible emergencies and rescue operations," Villa said.
However, the two governors pointed out that work in hospitals and in offices performing emergency and disaster operations will continue.
Suspension of work in the private sector is in the discretion of the company and its management.
