A 43-year-old man who stole pieces of jewelry from a mall in Talisay City, Cebu and allegedly spat at the security guard was arrested.
The man stole pieces of jewelry worth P250,000 in a mall in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City on February 11, 2026.
Alias “Rey” was turned over to the Talisay City Police by a certain “Francis,” a security guard of the mall.
“Rey” was detained and charged.
Two salesladies served as witnesses on the theft incident.
It was learned that when the suspect was apprehended, he resisted and spat at the guard, but the latter held him tightly until the authorities arrived.
The stolen items were recovered.
