Four more bodies believed to be from the ill-fated M/V Trisha Kerstin 3 were recovered on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, bringing the number of fatalities to 62.
Technical divers from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) recovered the bodies during underwater operations.
According to the Basilan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the four bodies included two men and two women.
PDRRMO said the bodies were retrieved from the Baluk-Baluk Island diving site.
PCG said 17 more individuals remain missing, as of this writing.
